Player Departure and Transfers
When a player voluntarily leaves Twin County Soccer Association (TCSA) for another club or discontinues participation for any reason while their team remains active, the following policies apply.
These terms are in accordance with the club registration agreement signed at the time of roster acceptance and reflect TCSA’s obligations as a nonprofit organization.
Registration and Tuition Fees
-
All registration fees, including the initial deposit, are non-refundable.
-
Once a player is rostered to a team, families are responsible for the full tuition amount, regardless of injury, personal decision, or departure from the team or club.
-
TCSA does not issue refunds for missed practices, games, training sessions, or early withdrawals.
Team Funds
-
All team-collected funds (e.g., for tournaments, referees, coaching stipends, winter training) are considered team property and are not linked to individual players.
-
Players who leave the team are not entitled to a refund or prorated share of team funds.
-
These funds will remain with the team and be used to support ongoing team activities.
Individual Credits and Fundraising Balances
-
Any remaining individual fundraising balances or player-specific credits will not be refunded or transferred to another club.
-
These balances will be incorporated into the team’s general fund to support shared expenses or, in the event the team is dissolved, equitably disbursed to eligible players. See Team Dissolution Policy for more information.
Uniforms and Equipment
-
Purchased uniforms and personal equipment are the player’s to keep.
-
Club-owned or loaned equipment (if applicable) must be returned prior to transfer or release.
Transfer and Release Process
-
Families must follow New Jersey Youth Soccer (NJYS) transfer and release procedures to initiate a move to another club.
-
A player’s NJYS Member Pass will not be released until:
-
All club and team financial obligations are paid in full, and
-
Any required equipment has been returned.
