Information For Parents

All players, parents, and spectators participating in Twin County Soccer Association (TCSA) programs are expected to follow the Code of Conduct outlined below. These expectations help foster a positive, respectful, and development-focused environment for all participants.

As a parent or guardian, I agree to:

• Show respect and positive support for coaches, referees, club volunteers, and fellow spectators before, during, and after games and training sessions.

• Ensure that my child behaves in a respectful and sportsmanlike manner at all times.

• Demonstrate encouragement and support for all players on the field, regardless of team.

• Prioritize player development over winning.

• Ensure my child plays in a safe, healthy environment and refrains from the use of performance-enhancing drugs.

• Serve as a positive role model by remaining supportive, not coaching from the sidelines or interpreting the rules during games.

• Stay off the coaches’/team sideline unless specifically invited by the coach.

• Ensure my child arrives on time and prepared for all team activities, and notify the coach in advance if they are unable to attend.

• Refrain from drug, alcohol, or tobacco use during any youth sporting events.

• Respond to club and team communications in a timely manner and meet all financial obligations by the stated deadlines.

• Abide by the rulings of referees, coaches, leagues, and TCSA administrators, and wait at least 24 hours before raising concerns or disputes.

• Avoid soliciting other players to leave their current teams or arranging side training sessions, leagues, or tournaments without coach and club approval and full team inclusion.

• Acknowledge that my child may not participate in games, practices, or tournaments if payments are past due (“No Pay – No Play” policy).

• Understand that team assignments, age group placements, and team names may be adjusted at the club’s discretion to ensure appropriate roster sizes and competitive balance.

• Understand that a travel player may hold only one NJYS (or USYS) Member Pass during the seasonal year (September 1 – August 31) and may not guest play or be dual-carded with another club without written permission from TCSA.

• Acknowledge that NJ Youth Soccer Association (NJYS) insurance coverage only applies to sanctioned facilities and teams as listed on NJYouthSoccer.com.

• Give permission for photographs or images of my child or myself taken at TCSA events to be used for club materials, promotions, and marketing.

• Recognize that participation in TCSA activities involves risk, including travel to and from events, and I agree to hold harmless TCSA, the Township of Brick, and all associated volunteers, coaches, referees, and organizers.

• Accept that violations of this Code of Conduct may result in corrective action, including potential suspension or removal from the team or club.

By participating in TCSA, I pledge to uphold this Code of Conduct and support a positive, respectful environment for all involved.

By accepting a team offer and completing registration, I agree to the following:

• I agree to pay a non-refundable deposit upon registration to hold my child’s roster spot.

• I agree that by August 1 of the current calendar year (or within 30 days of receiving my player’s offer, if later), I will either pay tuition in full or enroll in one of the club’s approved payment plans.

• I agree that I am responsible for the full tuition amount once my child is rostered, regardless of injury, family decision, or departure from the team or club.

• I agree to the club’s “No Pay – No Play” policy. My child may not participate in games, practices, or tournaments if payments are past due.

• I understand that all registration fees and payment plan fees are non-refundable.

• I understand that team rosters, league cards, and tournament participation are contingent on tuition being paid.

• I understand that team assignments, age group placement, and team names may be adjusted at the club’s discretion to form complete rosters and ensure appropriate competition levels.

• I agree not to solicit other players to leave their teams or make side arrangements without club and coach approval.

• I agree not to arrange external events (e.g., winter leagues, tournaments, team training) without coach and club approval and team-wide inclusion.

• I agree that all payment deadlines are final. Failure to meet them may result in removal from the team roster.

• I understand that a travel player may hold only one NJYS (or USYS) Member Pass during the seasonal year (September 1 – August 31).

• I agree that players may not guest play with another club or be dual-carded without written permission from Twin County Soccer.

By completing registration for the Twin County Soccer Recreation Program, I acknowledge and agree to the following:

• I agree to either pay in full or pay a non-refundable deposit equivalent to 50% of the total registration fee to secure my child’s roster spot. The remaining 50% will be automatically charged on September 1 for the Fall season (or April 1 for the Spring season), pending confirmation that my child has been placed on a team.

• I understand that all registration fees are non-refundable, including in cases of injury, withdrawal, or personal decision. The only exception is if the club is unable to place my child on a team. Refunds will be automatically issued if a player is not placed on a team by September 15 (Fall) or April 15 (Spring).

• I understand that the club may adjust team assignments or age groupings as needed to form complete rosters and provide a positive playing experience.

• I understand that low attendance or inclement weather may result in session cancellations, especially for optional activities such as the Friday Recreation Skills Club.

• I agree to meet all registration deadlines for my child to be eligible to participate.

• I agree not to organize outside events or activities (e.g., tournaments, training sessions, leagues) on behalf of the team without prior approval from the club.

• I understand that players registered in the Recreation Program are not permitted to be carded with NJYS (or any other governing body) or to participate on a Travel team during the same seasonal year.

By completing registration for a Twin County Soccer program, I agree to the following:

• I understand that any deposit or registration fee paid to secure a spot in a program is non-refundable.

• I agree to pay the full tuition for the program once my child is registered, regardless of injury, family decision, or early withdrawal.

• I understand that all registration, processing, and payment plan fees are non-refundable.

• I agree to the club’s “No Pay – No Play” policy. My child may not participate in games, practices, or events if payments are past due.

• I understand that roster assignments, groupings, and schedules may be adjusted at the club’s discretion to ensure balanced participation and appropriate competition.

• I agree not to solicit other participants to leave their teams, create side groups, or organize separate events without coach and club approval.

• I understand that participation in tournaments, leagues, or events may depend on timely payment and registration compliance.

• I agree to follow all club rules, schedules, and deadlines, and understand that failure to meet these obligations may result in removal from the program.

Drum Point Sports Complex – Brick Township Department of Recreation

In consideration of you or your child(ren), or those in your custody, being allowed to access, attend, spectate, or participate in any programs, clinics, camps, practices, games, or other soccer-related activities organized by Twin County Soccer Association (“the Club”), whether held at Drum Point Sports Complex or any other location operated in partnership with the Brick Township Department of Recreation, you agree, on behalf of yourself, your heirs, children, and assigns (collectively referred to as “Participant”), to the fullest extent permitted by law, as follows:

1. WAIVER OF CLAIMS
   You waive all claims that you or the Participant may have against Twin County Soccer Association, the Brick Township Department of Recreation, and their officers, directors, staff, volunteers, agents, or affiliates, arising from participation in any Club activities. This includes, but is not limited to, claims related to personal injury, illness (including exposure to viruses such as COVID-19), property damage, or death, whether resulting from negligence or otherwise.

2. ASSUMPTION OF RISK
   You understand and accept that participation in sports activities involves inherent risks, including but not limited to physical contact, field conditions, equipment use, and exposure to illness. You assume full responsibility for all such risks, known or unknown, and agree not to attend or allow your child to participate if experiencing symptoms of illness or injury.

3. RELEASE FROM LIABILITY
   You release and hold harmless Twin County Soccer Association, the Brick Township Department of Recreation, and their affiliated personnel from any liability for loss, injury, illness, damage, or expense suffered in connection with participation in Club activities.

4. MEDICAL TREATMENT AUTHORIZATION
   You authorize Club staff or volunteers to seek emergency medical treatment for the Participant if needed and agree to be financially responsible for any resulting costs.

5. CONDUCT & SAFETY AWARENESS
   You acknowledge that participation is voluntary and agree to follow all safety rules, codes of conduct, and instructions provided by Club staff. If a safety concern is observed, you agree to report it immediately and withdraw from the activity if necessary.

6. MEDIA RELEASE
   You grant permission for Twin County Soccer Association to use photographs or video of the Participant in promotional materials, publications, or online platforms.

7. SEVERABILITY
   If any provision of this agreement is found to be invalid or unenforceable, the remaining provisions shall remain in full force and effect.
